Aged 13 Savannah couldn't read or write, and was living on the streets of Kinshasa after having been thrown out of home by family members. When EPED workers met her she was sad, withdrawn and deeply traumatised.
A couple of years on, with loving care, a structured routine in a refuge centre, and opportunities to talk about her experiences and heal from them, Savannah is passing school exams with flying colours. She's blossomed into a thoughtful and kind young woman and has been reconciled back home with her father.
Your donation would enable children living in desperate situations of all kinds to recover from trauma and discover a hopeful life and future.
