Edith (9) and her sister Emma (13) have recently been given a new home and family!
Their mother died earlier this year from cancer, leaving the girls and their 2 brothers without any parents. Their Dad was a soldier, but he left the family years ago and no-one knows now where he is. Edith and Emma had given up school so that they could care for their Mum when she was very ill, as there were no other relatives to help.
But Pastor James, and his wife Connie, heard about the girls and decided to help them, even though they have 7 children of their own! "We just love children", says James with a laugh.
So Edith and Emma have become part of James and Connie's family, and their 2 brothers are being cared for by James' father, who lives just next door. The children can see each other every day.
Edith is lively and chatty, but Emma still seems quite sad. Edith says "I've made new friends and my best friend is called Opi. Emma and I are going to school again now and we also go to the Global Care children's support group.
