Pray

‘Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.’ (Hebrews 4:16)

As we come to Jesus in prayer, we know that he understands. He knows what it is to be human. He knows the hopes, fears and worries we have. And he knows what we need better than we know it ourselves. What’s more, we know that Jesus has the power to answer our prayers. So, we cry out to him for our friends and the children they serve, with faith that Jesus will hear us and act.

Please pray with us. A few current prayer points are below, and why not download our prayer diary?

Latest prayer points

Please remember BCT and our partners within your personal prayer times or your regular prayer group. Below are some fresh points for prayer:

  • Christ at the core: We rejoice in the work our partners do to foster authentic communities, centred around Jesus. APRECOM’s Inshuti Nziza clubs are amazing spaces where marginalised children find acceptance, friendship and hope. Praise God that in the last quarter, APRECOM met with 110 children in Bukora and about 85 in Kajera. Pray for new venues for the clubs to meet, to allow APRECOM to divide children into their age groups.
  • A home for all: It’s all too common for children to be rejected and excluded because they have disabilities, because they are refugees or through poverty. Pray that children living rough or living alone will have a home and a place to belong. Thank God for the work that EPED does to support vulnerable families which are at risk of breakdown: volunteer pastors now visit each family under their care, four times a month.
  • Wisdom in politics: Let’s take time to pray for the political leaders in the countries where BCT is engaged – DRC, Zambia and Rwanda – as well as the countries where SCWA is involved, including Togo and Kenya. Pray they will seek wisdom from God and look to him for guidance. Pray that they will put the needs and rights of children at the very top of their political agenda.
