Pray

‘Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God‚Äôs will for you in Christ Jesus.‘ (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18)

Life is hard. But there is always so much to be thankful for and, when we pray, we can be confident that our God hears us. Paul knew all of these things. The people he was writing to were having a tough time, as was Paul himself. But he could still urge them to keep rejoicing in the good things God had given them, and to keep praying about the things they longed to see changed.

We aim to act on Paul’s advice too! Please join us in giving thanks for the many ways in which God is blessing BCT, and in praying for the marginalised children we and our partners serve. A few current prayer points are below, and why not download our prayer diary?

Latest prayer points

Please remember BCT and our partners within your personal prayer times or your regular prayer group. Below are some fresh points for prayer:

  • Rich¬†harvests: Let’s pray for increased fruitfulness for all our project partners: that they will connect with more children and families, engage with them at an ever-deeper level, and see deeply-ingrained beliefs and attitudes change in communities, so that children the world over will thrive in Jesus’ name.
  • Grasping the vision: Let’s pray for our Rwandan project partner APRECOM as they continue to respond faithfully to God‚Äôs calling and extend their ministry to embrace those living with disability. Praise God that this work is expanding fast.
  • Renew our minds: There is still a stigma around HIV in many countries, especially in sub-Saharan Africa. Please pray for an end to this discrimination, which often stops people from coming forward for testing and lifesaving treatment. Pray that those in authority will¬†promote understanding and tolerance.
