For several years now Pukusu Children's Ministries has been supporting hundreds of children living in six neighbouring villages in a remote area of DR Congo.
But a recent visit around the villages revealed over 100 more children who desperately need help.
Peter is one of them. Since his parents died, Peter and his two younger sisters have been living with their grandmother. But she is elderly and in poor health, and finds it hard to care for three youngsters.
Even though Peter is only 10 he walks into the forest every day to fetch water for the family to use for cooking, drinking and washing.
Children like Peter, who don't have anyone to properly look after them, don't get enough food, they are often ill and they probably don't go to school regularly.
But now that Pukusu Children's Ministries know about Peter, and the other children they recently met, they will make sure they get nutritious food, they'll help with money for medicines, and help the children go to school.
But just as importantly, volunteers will visit Peter, his sisters and granny regularly. They'll talk and pray with them and make sure that they know they are not alone.
