Hilda Oliver

Hilda is a young and spritely lady in her 90s who is totally sold out on championing BCT at her Methodist church and at the residential home where she lives in Teddington. She regularly raises funds for BCT’s work through coffee mornings and is an inspiration to us all. Hilda says: ‘I saw a dreadful programme on the television about children being abused, because they were believed to be “witches”. It really angered me and I wanted to do something. But then, not long afterwards, someone gave me some information about The Bethany Children’s Trust, and I discovered that they’re helping these children. So I thought, “Right, I’m going to do something for BCT.” I think it’s marvellous, and I’ve now got my friend involved too!’
