‘Do not grieve, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.’ (Nehemiah 8:10)
Often, when we pray, we come to God because we feel overwhelmed with the problems we see around us. We can come with a sense of heaviness – even grief. But there is tremendous strength to be found in God’s presence. As we pour out our hearts to him, we can be confident that he hears us and we can trust him to act to protect the vulnerable children he cares for so deeply. We can gain his joy from this confidence.
Please join us in calling out to God for our partners and the children they serve. A few current prayer points are below and why not download our prayer diary?

Please remember BCT and our partners within your personal prayer times or your regular prayer group. Below are some fresh points for prayer:
- Speaking truth:Â âTransform Disabilityâ has now been distributed to many churches and organisations that have a heart for children with disability or who work with churches: pray that God will work through these networks and the resource to bring dramatic change for children with disability. (More on ‘Transform Disability’ here…)
- Faithful servants: Ask God to be with BCTâs trustees as they meet on Saturday 28th Sept to review BCTâs annual plans and budget and discuss other aspects of BCTâs work. Please pray especially for Ruth Ejvet and Geoff Walls as they begin to serve as trustees â and thank God for them, as we do!
- Ebola threat: Pray for an end to the latest Ebola outbreak in DRC which has claimed more than 1,500 lives since August 2018. Civil unrest and mistrust of foreign medical workers are hindering efforts to stop the spread of the virus. Please ask God to protect Pastor Jean-Paul and the LVLE team, as well as their families.
