‘Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.‘ (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18)

Life is hard. But there is always so much to be thankful for and, when we pray, we can be confident that our God hears us. Paul knew all of these things. The people he was writing to were having a tough time, as was Paul himself. But he could still urge them to keep rejoicing in the good things God had given them, and to keep praying about the things they longed to see changed.

We aim to act on Paul’s advice too! Please join us in giving thanks for the many ways in which God is blessing BCT, and in praying for the marginalised children we and our partners serve. A few current prayer points are below, and why not download our prayer diary?

Latest prayer points

Please remember BCT and our partners within your personal prayer times or your regular prayer group. Below are some fresh points for prayer:

  • Lifting their heads: We thank God that LVLE’s work on child protection in churches is bearing fruit: children are feeling more confident in their rights and in reporting abuse. Praise God for the way pastors are starting to value children and open up channels of communications with them! Pray that LVLE’s work with school leaders will bear the same rich fruit.
  • Seeking God’s heart: A great deal of time and effort goes into planning and reviewing our work so that we can be as effective as possible. BCT’s financial year starts in September. Please pray for the BCT team this month as we look to the next three years and finalise our plans and budget for the year ahead.
  • Human capital: Praise God that two pastors, Emmanuel and John, who attended training that BCT Director Susie Howe delivered in Kigali last year, have become passionate ambassadors for APRECOM as a result. They now serve as members of its advisory group, supporting Odeth and reaching out to families living with disability.
