Susie Howe

Susie Howe was an HIV/AIDS nurse specialist who went on to found and direct The Bethany Project in Zimbabwe (a community-based orphan-care programme working with children in a rural district) and Pavement Project (that created a Bible-based approach to counselling traumatised children). She is the founding director of The Bethany Children’s Trust (BCT) and frequently travels overseas to mobilise and train churches in childcare and protection, and to strengthen BCT’s project partners. Susie speaks in churches and at events around the UK. She was a winner of the Alternative Rich List in 2009. Her book Resistance Fighter, about her work with children at risk, was published in 2011.
