There have been reports in the news¬†of violence and¬†unrest in DR Congo, in response to President Kabila’s unwillingness to call elections. The situation in Kinshasa and Goma¬†is particularly volatile¬†and there is a huge risk of escalation. This could directly affect our friends at EPED and LVLE. N’djili district in Kinshasa has been named by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office as especially risky and¬†this is where Pastor Ngolo of EPED lives, with his family.
Please join us in praying for peace, restraint and justice to prevail in DRC. And let’s pray specifically for protection for our project partners and their families, and for the children (especially those living on the streets) who will be caught up in the unrest.
