Please pray for BCT

'Every great movement of God can be traced to a kneeling figure.' (D.L. Moody)

Too many children in the world must overcome huge obstacles in order to thrive and fulfil their potential. Prejudice, lack of opportunity, lack of resources and outright abuse leave countless children struggling on the margins. We and our partners strive to help children like these. But overcoming obstacles on this scale is an overwhelming challenge. It requires a move of God.

This is why we pray. We know that, as we pray, God hears us and that he is able to do 'immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine' (Ephesians 3:20). We cannot change complicated issues or deep-rooted attitudes on our own, but our God is able.

So, prayer is absolutely foundational to BCT: the work of reaching and serving marginalised children would be impossible without the work of prayer. This makes our prayer partners an integral part of the BCT movement. But we want to invite you to be part of this movement too. Join us, pray, and let's believe for a great movement of God on behalf of the world's marginalised children.

There are three particular ways you could get involved:

  • The 'Pray' page - Keep an eye on the 'Pray' page of this site. We share a few important points for prayer here, and update them every couple of weeks. Pray as and when you visit.
  • The prayer diary - We send out a new prayer diary every three months. It includes several points for prayer for each week, so you can use it every day or just dip into it, and it can be used by individuals, families or prayer groups. You can choose to receive the prayer diary by post or by email.
  • Become a prayer partner - BCT's prayer partners are our 'first responders'; the first people we contact when an urgent prayer request comes up. They are trusted friends and we often give them information we wouldn't share publicly.

Whichever option suits you best, please join us. Pray with us, lay hold of God's plan for the children we and our partners serve, and see things change in the name of Jesus.

To sign up as a prayer partner or to receive the prayer diary (or both!), just send us a message saying which option(s) you prefer and how we can contact you.
