Dear Friends
I am writing to let you know that my time as CEO of BCT will be ending at the end of April 2025, as I step into retirement.
This is not a complete goodbye, however as I will be staying on as a volunteer mentor and consultant for the next six months to support our brilliant team at BCT, during the transition.
The work of BCT and its partners is nothing short of extraordinary. It is profoundly rooted in Christ and flows as a tangible expression of His unfailing love. Jesus walked with the poor, embraced the forgotten, and lifted the unseen. He opened wide His arms to welcome the little ones, saying, “Let the children come to me, and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of God” (Luke 18:16). This is the heartbeat of BCT.
Through the years, the love, obedience, and deep compassion shown by Susie Howe and every past BCT staff member, Trustee, volunteer and our partner projects have made the heart of Jesus so beautifully visible. I am profoundly grateful to have been able to walk even a small part of this journey with you.
I ask each of you to stand with Dorcas Rono, BCT’s new Executive Director, in your prayers as she steps into this new season of leadership. Dorcas is a woman anointed with wisdom and grace, and I believe God has called and equipped her for such a time as this. She is wholeheartedly trusting in Jesus, seeking His voice daily, and surrendering to His perfect will as He leads her—and BCT—into the plans and purposes He has prepared.
Please also lift up Molly Langston, our dedicated Finance Officer; Steph Farrant, our incredible volunteer Project Support Worker; and our Trustees Gill, Hazel and Rose, each of them has been brought to BCT for a reason. They are gifted, passionate, and deeply committed to BCT and the work of our Project Partners.
Please continue to stand with and support the mission of BCT in any way you can. Through every season we have journeyed, one thing has always held true, God's work with BCT is not yet complete. There is more ahead, and His plans for this ministry are continuing to unfold, being refined and realigned for what’s to come. I am so thankful for each of you.
Thank you for the support, encouragement, and friendship you have shown me and BCT over the years. It has been a true honour and privilege to be part of this extraordinary charity. I have grown deeply through this journey, shaped, refined, and drawn closer to the heart of God because of it.
Shalom dear friends!
Lyn
